I
submit "The Opposite of Queer" as the Army's new slogan, as in: Join
the Army...It's the Opposite of Queer. "Army of One" and "Be All that
You Can Be" aren't in-your-face enough, and probably won't help the
military reach their recruiting goals, which were falling short.
Some
may say my slogan is immature, but those people are just stupid. They
haven't researched the science of effective sloganeering like I have.
According to the science, men are far more prone to act irrationally
when their masculinity is threatened. There is a quantifiable link
between childhood humiliation and Monster Truck enthusiasts. The larger
the tires a man has on his truck, the greater the humiliations he
experienced as a child. It's a fact.
I'm merely suggesting that we exploit the "queer fear" in men while our country is at war. We obviously need more volunteers.
Who's with me?

I'll have to think about that, Laura. Meanwhile, as people are being destroyed in the Middle East, we could probably abolish gay bashing on the home front if the following information were shared.
I read recently that in a research study, men who had bashed gay men had their thingies hooked up to thingies along with a control group of straight men who had not bashed gays. Both groups were shown homo-erotic material. The men who had bashed gays experienced more thingy activity than the control group of straight men. So, the study indicates that men bash gay men in a pathetic attempt to disprove their latent homosexual tendencies. Were this made more public, would it not deter idiots from bashing gay men? Wouldn't that behavior just telegraph the idiot's inherent gayness when in fact he was hoping to achieve the opposite effect? If you are straight with an insecure need to prove it, leave people alone. If you are gay and would like to keep that private, leave people alone. So, getting back to your point, Laura, Queer Fear? Is that what you’re calling it? Why not send all gay bashers to war? We’ll tell them that Al Quida is Arabic for She-Man, suit them up and send them off. What do you mean by "thingie"?
I would guess that such a study might be the kind of study that would provoke the "thingie"-stimulated guy who was ashamed that his thingie responded, to rush out and attack a guy not ashamed of himself. Did that make sense? But more than sending gay bashers to war, it would be nice if gays themselves could serve, especially the Arabic-speaking ones who could help us translate the tremendous backlog of recorded conversations that may reveal information of a future terrorist plot. Too bad we have to let that kind of valuable intelligence disappear because we're afraid of gays. Re: Re: Re: Blogging from The Swish - The Opposite of Queer

Make sense? Of course it did. And now you're being way too logical for military people, so scale it back a notch and... wait a second... until I'm willing to go to war myself, I should probably shut the heck up.
